Can you believe that July is here?  This summer is flying by.  I hope you are all able to take a moment and enjoy it.  I know that will be my goal from this month on!

I’m really loving the Cupcake Lottery.  I’m learning so much about so many great business’s in Kalamazoo and other surrounding towns.  With each new entry I receive I end up wanting to just let everyone win : )  This months winner is I think one of the best we’ve had yet.  July’s lottery winner is Meg Porritt.  Meg works at Ministry With Community.  Ministry with Community is a local resource shelter in downtown Kalamazoo serving any  people in the community dealing with homelessness, poverty, or mental illness.  They are open 7 days a week and 365 days per year from early morning until early evening.  At this wonderful resource center people in need are able to take showers, do laundry, use the phone, receive help from social workers, eat nutritious food, get their hair cut, take part in enrichment classes and much much more.  For all that Meg and her dedicated coworkers do for our community I am honored to treat you to a delicious cupcake lunch!  Congrats
