Pie anyone?
I am so excited to share the newest additions to the “Other Sweets” menu for the holidays, PIE! I’ll be honest, I’ve never met a pie that I didn’t like but I even shocked myself with these babies. Hands down this has got to be the most delicious, rich and flaky pie crust I’ve ever had. There is something very special about a handmade dessert. It screams Holidays! These pies are a bit of old tradition and some new. Whatever your preference you’re sure to find something for your entire family to enjoy around the holidays. Now, on to more Holiday fun……
December is right around the corner. If you’re like me you’ve already started planning out your shopping lists and gift ideas. I have a few ways to help.
First, on Thursday, November 18th from 6-9 pm the Plainwell Coffee Mill will be hosting a Home Business Expo featuring a number of local vendors ready to help you kick off your holiday shopping with a bang! Why am I telling you this you ask? Because the Cupcake Zoo will be there giving away free cupcake samples along with a holiday coupon and a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to use for any of your holiday celebrations. I will also have a limited number of variety boxes to purchase on the spot for those of you who just can’t wait for a holiday party This is sure to be a really great time. If you’ve never been to the Plainwell Coffee Mill do yourself a favor and go! It’s so rustic and inviting and as their name implies, they have the best coffee in town. The Coffee Mill will be offering a variety of appetizers and a cash bar along with coffee for purchase so call your friends and plan a girls night out! Along with the Cupcake Zoo there will be a variety of local vendors including, Scentsy, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Raspberry Blue, Jewels by Park Lane, My 31, Lia Sophia, Tastefully Simple, Snapshots of Life, Mary Kay, Cookie Lee Jewelry, Silpada, Gracie Marais Designs, Creative Memories, Avon, and a number of other crafty companies selling beautiful and unique handmade goods.
Second, the Cupcake Zoo will be featuring the 12 Edible Days of Christmas starting on December 2nd! What is this? My gift to you Every day from December 2nd through the 14th I will be posting a simple and fun edible gift idea that hopefully you’ll be able to share with your friends and family. Nothing says love and appreciation like putting your time and heart into a hand made gift. Whether it’s your sons teacher, or your grandma that loves cookies, you’re sure to make someone smile and feel very important with any of the gift ideas. I realize normally the 12 days of Christmas happens right before Christmas day but I want to give you plenty of time to use as many of the edible ideas as you’d like.
